This has been a particularly long week. To start off, last week the boss was on vacation and his returning this week has made life a little tense around the office.
I have come to the conclusion that I work in the most discusting, poorly run place in town. I know this probably isn’t true, but right now it feels like it. My boss is a total loser. He tries to come off as this real intelligent guy by being condescending to everyone he talks to. It doesn’t take long to learn that he’s a fool who doesn’t have a clue about anything.
There is mold growing in the office and water co
ming up through the floor. I feel like I need to be disinfected after working in the office for a day. Here’s a photo of the floor I took this morning… Nice huh?? There is so much water on the floor that a co-worker actually slid through it. Right now the floor is saturated, but when it's "drier", you can see where the black and white mold is "growing aound the spots.
Anyway, that is an example of what a dumbass my boss really is. Wouldn't a normal business person attempt to get this fixed?
He doesn't own the building so a call to the landlord would be my first step.
A couple weeks ago it rained so much that the toilets wouldn't flush and the "backup" (I could use more discriptive words here) was coming up through the drain on the floor.
One of the guys in the back said something about it and he actually held his head up, sniffed the air and said "ah, that's nature... fresh air... dirt"... What an idiot! That's fecal matter you dumbass. It has e-coli, bacteria and a host of other substances that we don't want to walk in, breath or be in the same room with.
Needless to say, that week I had to go to the gas station down the street to use the facilities. The bathroom at the gas station seemed clean and sanatary compared to the indoor outhouse that they call restrooms at our shop.
Oh, it's 11am and he just got to work. It's his usual time to report in. This is good for us workers, but looks bad when clients call and he's NEVER in until 11am. Of course, it's his business and he can do whatever he wants - it's just not the way I would run a business.
Now that I've had this opportunity to vent, I really need to act busy since he's lurking around every corner and will soon be here breathing his dragon breath on me. Maybe I should offer him a breath mint. Do you suppose he would accept it? Would he take the hint?
